Sun, History and Sardinian Soul

Why travel to Cagliari?

Cagliari is a treat for anyone who loves a mix of history, culture and seaside relaxation. The Castello district’s hilltop views, the bustling San Benedetto market and the endless stretch of Poetto Beach give the city a unique, sun-drenched energy. You’ll find Roman amphitheaters, elegant piazzas and a marina lined with cafés perfect for people-watching. The food scene is a delight – fresh seafood, Sardinian specialties and lively aperitivo hours. Just know that the city is hilly (expect lots of steps and climbs), summer can be very hot and busy and some areas outside the center feel a bit worn. Public transport is good but can be crowded at rush hour and parking in the old town is tricky.
