Why travel to Pärnu?

There’s a reason Estonians call Pärnu their 'summer capital.' The long, shallow beach is perfect for families, sunbathers and swimmers alike, while the city buzzes with festivals, music and outdoor fun all summer. Beyond the sand, Pärnu charms with leafy parks, colorful old town streets and a spa culture that dates back to the 19th century. You’ll find everything from historic mud baths to sleek modern wellness centers. It’s not just a warm-weather destination, though – Pärnu is cozy year-round, with winter walks on the frozen shore, local food and a surprisingly active cultural calendar. Just be aware that the city can get crowded on sunny summer weekends and the Baltic Sea is rarely as warm as the Mediterranean (though it can hit 21°C!). If you’re not a fan of big crowds, try visiting in late spring or early autumn.
