Why travel to Peneda-Gerês National Park?

Peneda-Gerês is a dream destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The park's diverse landscapes include dramatic mountain ranges (Serra da Peneda, Serra do Gerês, Serra Amarela and Serra do Soajo), pristine rivers with refreshing swimming spots and enchanting waterfalls like Cascata do Arado and Pincães. Wildlife enthusiasts might spot golden eagles, wolves or the endangered Iberian desman, while history buffs can explore ancient Roman roads, megalithic structures and traditional villages scattered throughout the park.
