Best destinations to visit in February in Oceania

Summer continues across Oceania in February, though the crowds thin out a little once school holidays wrap up in Australia.

Australia's beaches stay warm and busy through the first part of the month, with quieter conditions setting in once the school year gets underway. New Zealand keeps its long summer days too, ideal for hiking, road trips and time spent outdoors. Across the Pacific islands, February still falls within the wet season in many spots, so travelers should expect a mix of sun and rain even during the warmest months. Ocean temperatures stay warm throughout the region, keeping swimming and snorkeling conditions strong all month, even where afternoon showers are common. Evenings tend to stay warm too, which suits outdoor dinners and late walks along the coast.

The destinations on our list for Oceania reflect that same late summer mix of warm days and occasional rain.
