Dramatic Peaks and Northern Lights

The Lofoten Islands in Norway sit far north where cold waters meet jagged peaks and bright summer skies. Here, fishing villages line long stretches of sand while mountains rise straight from the sea. The weather shifts quickly but brings sharp light that lights up the landscape for hours at a time during midsummer. Winters bring quiet snowscapes and dark days filled with soft glows after sunset. Wildlife thrives along rocky shores and deep valleys, making it easy to see Arctic foxes, seabirds and seals near shore.
