Opened in 2021, it replaced older facilities and now handles both domestic flights and international arrivals with modern security and customs processes. The airport features spacious terminals, clear signage and efficient baggage handling. Located just over 50 kilometers from the capital, it connects travelers to key business districts and tourist sites within a short drive. Its design reflects Mongolian culture through art displays and local materials used throughout the building.
