Port Sudan’s new international airport serves as a key gateway to eastern Africa and the Red Sea region. Opened in 2023, it replaces older facilities with modern infrastructure designed for growing passenger numbers and cargo needs. Located near the city of Port Sudan, the airport connects Sudan to regional hubs like Jeddah, Cairo and Nairobi while supporting trade routes across the Red Sea. Its expanded terminals handle both domestic flights and international arrivals efficiently. The project reflects ongoing efforts to improve transport links for tourism and business in the area.
