Why travel to Sedona?
Sedona is an outdoor lover’s paradise, with more than 200 miles of hiking and biking trails winding through stunning red rock canyons, buttes and monoliths. Whether you're scrambling up Cathedral Rock at sunrise, wandering through ancient cliff dwellings or just soaking up the views from a scenic overlook, the landscape is unforgettable. The town is also known for its spiritual side – many visitors come for meditation, healing or to experience the famous 'vortex' energy sites. At night, Sedona’s clear desert air makes for some of the best stargazing in Arizona. On the flip side, Sedona can get crowded, especially on weekends and during peak hiking seasons and parking at popular trailheads fills up fast. The desert climate means hot, dry summers and the risk of dehydration or sunburn, so come prepared. Wildlife like snakes and scorpions are present and wildfires can occasionally affect the area. Still, with a little planning, Sedona’s magic is hard to resist.
