Top digital nomad destinations and remote work hubs in Oceania

Oceania asks remote workers to plan around long flights and tricky time zones, but for many the lifestyle on offer makes it worth the extra effort.

Some nomads are drawn to laid back coastal cities, where a short break to surf or swim easily fits between calls. Others prefer smaller towns further from the coast, trading city conveniences for cheaper rent and a slower pace of life. Costs can run high in the most popular spots, so many remote workers balance a few weeks in an expensive city with longer stretches somewhere cheaper nearby. Internet quality is generally strong, though it can drop off quickly once you head further off the beaten path.

The destinations on our list for Oceania combine well known coastal hubs with quieter towns that offer a similar quality of life at a gentler price. Good weather is rarely in short supply here.
