Cuba’s Colonial Gem by the Sea

Cuba’s capital, Havana, stands as a living museum of history and culture. Colonial architecture lines wide boulevards where vintage American cars rumble past colorful buildings. The city pulses with music from open-air cafes and street performers. Beyond the historic center lies vibrant neighborhoods filled with art galleries and local markets. The Malecón, an oceanfront road, serves as a gathering spot for residents sharing stories under palm trees. Cuba’s capital balances old-world charm with modern resilience through its daily life and traditions passed down generations.

Why travel to Trinidad?

Trinidad is a UNESCO World Heritage site that feels both vibrant and authentic. The city’s colonial architecture is stunningly preserved, with plazas, churches and museums all within a walkable historic center. You’ll find a buzzing music scene at the Casa de la Música, art galleries and friendly locals ready to share their town’s stories. Just outside town, Playa Ancón offers some of Cuba’s best beaches, while the nearby mountains hide lush waterfalls and hiking trails in Topes de Collantes. The nightlife is legendary, from open-air salsa to a dance club in a cave! A few things to keep in mind: Wi-Fi is limited to certain hotspots and service can be patchy. ATMs may not always work, so bring enough cash. The cobblestone streets can be tough on your feet and summer brings heat and humidity. Still, Trinidad’s charm and energy make it a highlight of any trip to Cuba.
