Port city with warehouses and the Elbphilharmonie
Like Liverpool, Hamburg helped shape the Beatles, who played early shows on the Reeperbahn in 1960. The same mile in St. Pauli still has live music at Molotow and Große Freiheit. Neon signs light the street from end to end. Many bars stay open until morning, so nights here run long.

Fashion, Art and Historic Splendor
Bars line the Navigli canals, a little like a small Venice after dark. Aperitivo starts around 6 p.m. and pairs a drink with a plate of pasta or cold cuts. Fashion shapes the scene, so people dress up for Corso Como and the clubs near Porta Garibaldi.
Vibrant City of Art and Beaches
An old industrial building in Poblenou became Razzmatazz in 2000. It now has five rooms with different music under one roof. Dinner runs late in Catalonia, so crowds rarely arrive before 1 a.m. Beach clubs by the Port Olimpic stay busy long after dark. The sand is a short walk away.

Whitewashed beauty and wild nights
Visitors began arriving in the 1960s for the whitewashed town and beaches. The party followed. Little Venice has bars built over the sea, where waves splash near the tables at sunset. Cavo Paradiso, on a cliff above Paradise Beach, throws parties that last until sunrise.
Where history, nightlife and the Danube meet
Bass and laughter drift across the water from splavovi, floating clubs moored along the Sava and Danube rivers. Many stay open until sunrise. Savamala, an old warehouse quarter on the Sava, has bars and small clubs in converted buildings. Turbo folk, a loud local pop style, plays in some spots.
