Best destinations to visit in October in Oceania
Spring continues to warm across Oceania in October, easing the region further out of winter with each passing week.
Ski season wraps up almost entirely by October, with only the highest resorts holding onto any late season snow. Whale watching remains active along parts of the coast, though the migration season begins winding down as the month progresses. Northern Australia holds onto its dry season a while longer, with warm, comfortable conditions before the wet season arrives later in the year. Southern cities warm up steadily too, with longer days and milder evenings than earlier in the season. Wildflower season also continues in parts of Western Australia, though the peak has typically passed by this point in the season.
The destinations on our list for Oceania reflect that same steady shift toward warmer, longer spring days across the region.
