Australia and New Zealand both see comfortable, mild weather this month, ahead of the busier crowds that arrive with the summer school holidays in December. Whale watching season winds down along parts of the coast, as the migrating pods move on for the year. Northern Australia's wet season begins around this time too, bringing more frequent storms to the tropical north as the dry months come to an end. Southern cities stay pleasant and increasingly popular, without yet reaching peak summer prices. Evenings also grow noticeably longer, giving extra time for outdoor activities once the work day wraps up, and outdoor dining starts to pick up again across the region.
