North America offers a wider range of romantic settings than its reputation as a city break destination might suggest. Remote wilderness lodges, vineyard retreats, historic coastal towns and mountain hideaways sit alongside world class urban destinations that have their own version of romance built into the architecture, the food scene and the energy of the place.
The continent's scale works in favour of couples looking for seclusion. There are parts of North America where genuine remoteness is still accessible without enormous logistical effort, and where the natural environment is spectacular enough to be the entire reason for the trip. Private cabin stays, national park lodges and boutique coastal properties offer very different experiences but share a quality of setting that is hard to find in more densely populated regions.
